I learned the term calligraffiti when I visited the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto. There was an exhibit there on Arabic calligraffiti. The term is a combination of calligraphy and graffiti. Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing and graffiti is writing on a wall without permission. It made me wonder if it would be appropriate to call words written on the walls of Toronto streets calligraffiti. Below is an example of what might be calligraffiti in Toronto. This art is located on a path between Moore Avemue and the Brickworks.
