Red-tailed Hawk: Nest Location

This tree in Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a favorite of the hawks.  Years ago they had a nest here.  For these hawks it is nest building/renovation time.  Last year I saw them doing renovations at the end of January, in another tree.  At Cornell University in Ithaca, New York the Red-tailed hawks have made huge gains in nest renovations! See here and here.  The hawks in Ithaca and Toronto follow the same pattern of reproduction.  I'm looking forward to finding out where the Toronto hawks decide to nest this year.
